do you have in stock?
NOTHING! Everything in the limebarb.com store is made-to-order.
That means we have fabrics 'in stock', but your garment isn't made until
you order it! Although there will be a longer wait for your order, there
has benefits. Because we do not have to put extra funds and time into
creating stock we are able to bring you a cheaper price as well as give
you a much wider selection of items. Plus, not having stock means we can
work with you on a personal level, should you want to submit more detailed
measurements or request changes to a garment to meet your needs.
What
is your turnaround time?
Orders take 2-8 weeks to ship.
How
do you ship your packages?
Within the United
States
We ship all packages within the United States via US Priority
mail. Packages typically take 2-4 business days to arrive. We
provide delivery confirmation numbers for each package. Please
let us know if you want to insure your packages, as it costs extra.
Shipping within the USA starts at $10 and rises with the weight
of the package. |
International
We ship international orders using US Postal Service Global Priority.
They typically take 4-8 business days to arrive. You are provided
with the customs number for each package. Please let us know if
you want to insure your packages, as it costs extra. Shipping
international packages starts at $20 and raises with the weight
of the package. |
How do I order?
We take orders through our Paypal shopping cart.
Paypal is one of the most secure ways to pay for things online. We also
accept money orders and checks. Please print and fill out this
form for non-Paypal payments and include it with your payment. It's
best to e-mail us to let us
know when you're sending a payment, so we can be on the lookout for it!
Once we receive your payment we will e-mail you and let you know that
we got it. We will then complete your order in the next 2-8 weeks. When
it is completed, we will e-mail you with USPS delivery confirmation number
to let you know that it's on its way! :)
Do
you accept returns or exchanges?
We do not accept returns. Please keep in mind that we do not have stock,
and you should be very certain of what you wish to order and have selected
the right sizes before you pay. However, we understand that there may
be some circumstances that require an exchange.
Here are the exceptions:
If your outfit arrives
damaged or defective, please send us an e-mail immediately so
we may assess the situation and set up an exchange with you. All
merchandise, whether defective or damaged, must be returned for
exchange withing 30 days of receipt. Please note that all exchanges
will be accepted at our discretion. |
In the unlikely event
that we should run beyond the 8 week delivery window we will offer
you the opportunity to receive the order by a later date with
compensation of a partial refund or additional merchandise. |
How do I know what size
I need?
Please take a look at our sizing chart BEFORE
placing your order to make sure that you are ordering the correct size.
Select the size that you fit into according to the measurements on that
chart. While you might wear a different size in another brand of clothing,
we make our clothing according to the measurements on our chart so it
is important that you submit your correct size according to our chart.
We are very unlikly to make an exchange for an outfit
of a different size because we provide you with a clear measurement chart
to make sure that you are ordering the correct size.
Typically when buying skirts and pants you should
go by your waist measurement. When buying tops you should go by your bust
measurement, unless your waist is more than two inches greater than the
waist measurement for that size. Please do not feel like you need to buy
a larger size than your measurement for added ease. These kinds of things
are already factored into our garments, unless you want a very, very loose
fit! :)

I am crossdressing/crossplaying,
what size do I need?
E-mail us before placing your order though so we can figure out what sizes
you need. If you are a man crossdressing
as a woman please specify whether or not you will be wearing breastforms,
and if you are a woman crossplaying as a man please specify whether or
not you will be wrapping your bust.
Do
you do any sort of customization?
Yes, we can work with you to make your garment or outfit to your specifications!
We can make alterations to any of our existing designs, or change the
look and color to your liking. If you want us to start from scratch and
make a one-of-a-kind garment, please visit our commissions

Is
your clothing sturdy and high-quality?
We specialize in offering you interesting and unique clothing at an affordable
price. We understand that fashion is always changing. We create clothing
in a ready-to-wear quaility like what you would see at Target or a similar
retail outlet. Our work is typically not 'high fashion' couture quality,
as we want to provide you with affordable outfits, but it is sturdy and

Why
are your prices higher than my local retail store?
Our prices may be a bit more than you would pay at your local retail store,
but for the type of work we do we are very inexpensive. We are a small
fashion company so we do not save money on buying bulk quantities like
a large company would. The prices cover higher costs of materials as well
as construction costs for these garments to be made from scratch with
love and care by the people of limebarb.com, here in the United States.
What
is the difference between the clothing store and the other sections?
The clothing store offers
original fashions designed by Barb. These items are made-to-order and
are based on patterns we have already drafted. That means you purchase
what you would like through the shopping cart, and then the items are
constructed and shipped in 4-8 weeks. Because everything is made to-order
you can request clothing items with custom details or sizing.
The costume commissions
section is where you can submit your request for custom costumes or clothing
items. We can make just about anything you can supply us a picture of.
Instead of purchasing things through a shopping cart, you e-mail us asking
for a price quote based on your specific needs. If you decide to purchase
we set a due date to complete the costume by. Custom orders generally
ship out in 2-5 months depending on our availability and the complexity

The pre-made section
offers pre-made clothing, costumes, and accesories for immediate shipment.
All items listed within the pre-made shop are completed and all ready

Please be aware that each section
has its own policies, so keep that in mind when ordering.
I e-mailed you a few days ago and
haven't heard back yet, what gives?
We are a small business with a small staff, so we don't always have the
opportunity to check our e-mail every day. We generally check and reply
to our e-mails in large batches two or three times per week. This almost
always occurs on weekdays during normal business hours, so if you write
to us late Friday night you won't hear back from us until Monday morning
at the absolute earliest! So if it has been a few days and you haven't
heard back from us, there's no need to fret or re-send your e-mail, we
will get to it! :) You should also check our updates
page, because we will post a notice if we will be out of town or unable
to respond to e-mails in a longer than normal timeframe. If two weeks
have passed and you have not heard back from us feel free to re-send,
as once in a very blue moon e-mails do get zapped by our spam filter.
